South Australian Country girl who has been raised up through the very strong SA model. Played in the WNBL for 2 years after representing her state in every age group at the Australian Championships. Sarah was recognised for her efforts by receiving the Rookie of the Year Runner Up status in the WNBL 2 years ago.
Having played in the WNBL for 2 seasons and being a staple in the Adelaide Program, Sarah is a future Opal in the making.

“Having worked with Sarah in the off-season in Adelaide, I know what sort of tenacious hard nosed defender we are getting and it is one of the areas that we needed to get better in this year to ensure that we have all the pieces to take a crack at the Championships.
Hands down Sarah is one of the best on-ball defenders you will find in any league and I’m looking forward to seeing her embrace this role and bring an aggressive mindset on the offensive end of the floor.
I am really pleased that we were able to entice Sarah to Queensland as she is a great person who is the ultimate team mate! I’m hoping we can continue her development up here and excited to see Sarah having a great season” Jason Chainey Head Coach

Special mention to Carol, Kevin, Corey & Dylan McSweeney for their hospitality as our ‘Pirates Host Family 2018 Program’ and hosting Sarah for the season.

Welcome to the Pirates Family Sarah!
