Mitchell to add versatility to the Rockets

The McDonald’s Rockhampton Rockets are thrilled to announce the signing of versatile guard/forward James Mitchell for the upcoming 2017 QBL season.

Mitchell has built a stellar six-year career in Cairns, which was capped off last season when he captained the Marlins to the QBL Championship.  The championship was made even sweeter with Mitchell delivering career best form, finishing the season averaging 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists a game.

Wagner to Bolster Rockets with size and strength

The McDonald’s Rockhampton Rockets are delighted to announce the signing of 6’9 Forward/Centre David Wagner from the University of British Columbia for the upcoming 2017 QBL season.

Wagner comes to the Rockets after five seasons with the UBC Thunderbirds where he was a proven scorer and rebounder.  During his final season Wagner averaged 12 points and 5 rebounds helping his team progress through to the Canadian National Tournament, where the Thunderbirds finished fifth.

The McDonald’s Meteors are proud to announce that star point guard Shaun Bruce has signed to play for the McDonald’s Meteors in the 2017 QBL season.  In a massive coup for the club, the Meteors have beaten a number of other clubs to gain Shaun’s signature for the season.  Shaun has just completed the NBL season with the Brisbane Bullets and is extremely keen to get back to Mackay to guide the McDonald’s Meteors through the 2017 season.
